Below we inform you about the collection of personal data when using our website.

The term "personal data" means, with reference to the definition of Art. 4 No. 1 of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (hereinafter referred to as the "General Data Protection Regulation" or "GDPR" for short) means all data that can be related to you personally. Your rights

You have the following rights in relation to personal data relating to you:

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about our processing of your personal data.

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time. For this purpose, an informal communication by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to object to the collection of data in special cases; right to object to direct advertising (Art. 21 GDPR)

Right to demand processing restrictions

You have the right to demand the imposition of restrictions as far as the processing of your personal data is concerned. To do so, you may contact us at any time at the address provided in section “Information Required by Law.” The right to demand restriction of processing applies in the following cases:

  • In the event that you should dispute the correctness of your data archived by us, we will usually need some time to verify this claim. During the time that this investigation is ongoing, you have the right to demand that we restrict the processing of your personal data.

Contactacting

Personal data is collected when contacting us (e.g. via contact form or e-mail). Which data is collected in the case of using a contact form can be seen from the respective contact form. This data is stored and used exclusively for the purpose of answering your request or for contacting you and the associated technical administration. The legal basis for processing this data is our legitimate interest in responding to your request in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If your contact aims at the conclusion of a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR. Your data will be deleted after your request has been processed. This is the case when the circumstances indicate that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified and provided that there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary.

Applications to job advertisements

On our website, we advertise current vacancies in a separate section for which interested parties can apply.
After receipt of the application, the applicant data is stored by us and evaluated exclusively for the purpose of processing the application. For queries arising in the course of processing, we use, at our discretion, either the e-mail address provided by the applicant with his/her application or a telephone number provided.

The legal basis for this processing, including contacting us for queries, is generally Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (for processing in Germany in conjunction with § 26 para. 1 BDSG), in the sense of which going through the application process is considered to be the initiation of an employment contract.

Insofar as special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 (1) GDPR (e.g. health data such as information on severely disabled status) are requested from applicants as part of the application process, the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 9 (2) lit. b. GDPR. GDPR so that we can exercise the rights arising from labour law and social security and social protection law and fulfil our obligations in this regard.

Cumulatively or alternatively, the processing of the special categories of data may also be based on Art. 9(1)(h) GDPR if it is carried out for the purposes of preventive health care or occupational medicine, for the assessment of the applicant's fitness for work, for medical diagnosis, care or treatment in the health or social sector or for the management of systems and services in the health or social sector.

If the applicant is not selected in the course of the evaluation described above or if an applicant withdraws his or her application prematurely, his or her data transmitted by e-mail as well as all electronic correspondence including the original application e-mail will be deleted at the latest after 6 months following notification. This period is measured on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering any follow-up questions about the application and, if necessary, to be able to comply with our obligations to provide evidence under the regulations on equal treatment of applicants.

In the event of a successful application, the data provided will be further processed on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (for processing in Germany in conjunction with § 26 para. 1 BDSG) for the purposes of implementing the employment relationship.

Newsletter

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified e-mail address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.

The data entered in the newsletter registration form is processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the email address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you provide us with for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes (e.g. e-mail addresses for the members' area) remain unaffected by this.

Processing of personal data during informative use of our website

If you use our websites purely for information purposes, i.e. you do not register, conclude a contract with us or otherwise disclose information to us, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. When you access our websites, we collect the following data, which is technically necessary for us to be able to display our websites to you and to ensure stability and security.

  • The used operating system
  • Referrer URL
  • The hostname of the accessing computer
  • The time of the server inquiry
  • The IP address

This data is temporarily stored in the log files of our system for a maximum of fourteen days. Storage beyond this period is possible, but in this case the IP addresses are partially deleted or alienated so that it is no longer possible to assign the calling client. In this context, the log files are not stored together with other personal data relating to you. The legal basis for these processing operations is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Since the collection of data to display the websites and the storage of the data in log files is absolutely necessary for the operation of our websites and the maintenance of IT security, you do not have the option to object in this respect.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Cookies

YouTube with enhanced data protection

This website uses plugins from the website YouTube. The operator of the pages is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

We use YouTube in extended data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, the disclosure of data to YouTube partners is not necessarily excluded by the extended data protection mode. Thus, YouTube establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network regardless of whether you watch a video.

The integration on our pages only takes place with your consent. No data is sent to Google when you simply call up the pages. Only after an active confirmation via the "Accept" button is a connection established with the YouTube servers.

As soon as you start a YouTube video after accepting it, a connection to YouTube's servers (in the USA) is established. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. Furthermore, YouTube can save various cookies on your end device after starting a video. These cookies allow YouTube to obtain information about visitors to our website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve the user experience and prevent fraud attempts. The cookies remain on your terminal device until you delete them.

Google (Universal) Analytics

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). Google (Universal) Analytics uses "cookies", which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

This allows the definition and differentiation of user groups of the website for the purpose of the target group-optimised orientation of marketing measures. We have concluded an order processing agreement with Google for the use of Google Analytics, which obliges Google to protect the data of our site visitors and not to pass it on to third parties.
