We at ppg > know about the importance to be able to react to the flexible requirements of our customers in the best possible way. Accordingly, we are very adaptable in our production processes as well as in all other performance-relevant areas. In addition, we try to meet the increasing demands regarding the sustainability of our products by developing individual solutions for our customers and their markets.
As a co-founder of the initiative "EnergieEffizenz-Tisch Berlin plus", we have been committed since years to avoid the unnecessary use of raw materials and thus to minimize CO2 emissions. At ppg >, investment decisions have been made and implemented on the basis of a resource-conserving orientation since long time. This not only means that plants and buildings are always kept up to date with the latest technology, but also that their efficiency is monitored on an ongoing basis. The implementation is ensured by a certified energy management according to ISO 50001 and allows us to quickly detect inefficiencies and to work out improvement options. By installing high-performance photovoltaic systems to produce our own electricity, we aim to cover 30% of our electricity consumption from self-generated renewable energy by 2025 in order to significantly reduce the CO2 emissions of our production.
As part of our society, we actively fulfil our social responsibility - particularly at regional level – by long-term projects. For example, we have been supporting various organizations in Trebbin, Holdorf and Oldenburg for over 20 years. They enable, for example, early childhood education or curative care for children. We are also involved in supporting the youth activities of local sports clubs. Via cooperation with local social organizations, we believe we are making an effective contribution to our society.
The structure of our companies is based on our customers demand for maximum flexibility. The dynamics of order quantities for food retailers requires more and more variable production processes. In order to provide the same high level of customer-oriented service in other European countries, our represantive offices in the Benelux, UK + Ireland and Scandinavian regions are taking care.
