prepacgroup originated as Wego-Flexodruck, a company founded in Berlin in 1993. As our company continued to grow, it became necessary to relocate to Trebbin, near Berlin, in 1999. The production facilities we built up in Trebbin were expanded in 2004 to provide additional hall space for more machinery.
Flexo-film in Holdorf near Osnabrück was acquired mid-2005. Since then, we have been able to produce the majority of the required film material ourselves. Our first 10-colour intaglio printer has been in commission in Holdorf since 2008, offering an alternative to the flexo printing technology we have been using since the very beginning.
In 2007 we grasped the opportunity to acquire Ludwig Fr. Noltemeyer, a company based in Braunschweig with a long tradition. This acquisition enabled us to expand our portfolio. In addition to polymer composites, we have since been able to offer our customers aluminium-paper and aluminium-plastic composites and to supply everything from a single source.
In October 2008, the newly established holding company in Oldenburg took over the central management of those areas that provide services to all of the locations without, however, interfering in the day-to-day business of the sites.
In 2009, the Group changed its name to prepacgroup.
